Branding

After looking for branding information about the Royal Opera House for a bit today, I though I should share a few things with you.

First of all, the Royal Opera House has branding guidelines which are available to everyone via their branding page. This page also includes information about their brand values and other valuable information, including their logos in different formats.

Also notable, the Royal Opera House underwent a major branding change by SomeOne London. The studio has a page that describes this particular project. Also interesting is the Brand New section of underconsideration.com, which explores the brand changes in more detail.

Finally, if anyone is interested in the source text that served as inspiration for La Bohème (Scènes de la vie de bohème by Henri Murger), it can be found as a free public domain book (in English) on the project Gutenberg website. If you have a look at this, please consider that Jim doesn’t want us to spend too much time on research and that the original novel only shares parts of its story with the opera. Reading the libretto and a synopsis might be more important before considering the source material.

See you all tomorrow,
Christoph.
